All five bedrooms have ocean views and are each completely different in design and ambience. Each has its own en-suite bathroom, individually designed and furnished. There is a large sitting room on the ground floor and another upstairs. Both are open to sea breezes.
There are two outside dining tables, each seating ten, in different locations.
Additionally, there is an air-conditioned indoor dining room, also seating ten, and which also has French doors which can be flung open instead.
There is a home cinema with high definition projector and wide screen.
Expansive gardens and lawn extend right to the beach.
The beach frontage is 45 metres. You simply step off the grass and on to the sand. There are two interconnected pools. The larger infinity pool totals 100 square metres, while the children's pool is 21 square metres and only 60 cm deep. You can enjoy the garden jacuzzi which is large enough for eight adults. There are very comfortable lounging and dining areas right at the edge of the beach, as well as a shady bale to relax in. Both provide unobstructed ocean and sunset views.
In view of the Covid 19 outbreak, we are committed to being flexible with booking terms and conditions until there is greater clarity regarding the extent of the situation. This applies to the timing of deposits and final payments, as well as providing the opportunity to postpone travel to a later date. Each of our guest enquiries will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine the best way forward, and to provide a level of reassurance during this time.

- Rates are quoted in US$ and are subject to an additional 10.5% government tax and 5% service charge. Rates are subject to change without notice, but changes will not be applied to bookings already made.
- Every effort will be made to ensure availability by 2 pm on the day of arrival. Our check-out time is noon unless a variation has been agreed, which may incur a further charge.
- Having five bedrooms, each double-bedded, Villa Ambra's maximum capacity is 10 persons, with up to one infant in addition in a cot or sharing the parents’ bed. Villa Ambra cannot change the beds or supply extra beds, except insofar as a cot for an infant can be placed in one of the bedrooms.
- There is no pre-determined limit on the number of children within the party, and consider rental requests on an individual basis. Local Balinese nannies are excellent and can be sourced at cost.
- There is no lifeguard, nor are they fenced, and use of the pools, and indeed all villa facilities, is entirely at guests own risk and responsibility. Please bear in mind that staying at Villa Ambra is akin to being in your own home, not in an hotel.
- A deposit of 50% of the rental due must be received by Villa Ambra within seven working days after confirmation of the reservation, except that, if there are less than 31 days before the rental start date, full payment is required. For last minute bookings within seven working days of the rental start date, full payment on arrival is acceptable. Payments are to be made by PayPal or bank transfer, with the remitter agreeing to pay both party’s bank charges, to a bank, details of which will be provided with the booking confirmation. Please send a copy of the bank transfer to info@baliintaran.com. If the deposit is not received within the stipulated period, the reservation will be released. The balance must reach the bank account at least 30 days prior to the rental start date, failing which the reservation may be released and the deposit forfeited. Guests will be required on arrival to sign a waiver of liability and credit card authorisation form to allow us to collect payment for any charges (including damages and breakages) incurred and unpaid when the guest departs.
- In the event of cancellation 31 days or more prior to the rental start date, a refund of the deposit will be granted net of any agent's commission and a cancellation charge of 20% of the total rental value. In the event of a cancellation 30 days or less prior to the rental start date, no refund will be granted. Guests are reminded to check that they have adequate cancellation insurance.
- Subject to availability, we will be happy to make changes without charge, if the total rental value is not reduced.
- Special permission is required for functions where the number of guests exceeds 15. A function fee may be applicable in addition to a local community (“Banjar”) fee and security deposit. We can recommend an excellent European party planner. Since our roofs are thatched, no fireworks are permitted.
- Guests are expected to respect the peace of their neighbours at all times. No outdoor, or loud indoor, music is permitted after midnight. This stricture has been agreed with the local Balinese communities and is not open to negotiation.
- Guests should be aware that Villa Ambra is furnished and equipped to a high standard and seemingly minor damages may prove surprisingly expensive. The renter is responsible for, and undertakes to reimburse, any and all damages or losses incurred during his occupation of the villa. The Villa Manager reserves the right to eject the occupants in the event of excessive damage or unruly behaviour.
- The number of persons occupying the villa must not exceed the maximum number stated in the booking confirmation and the villa owner reserves the right to refuse any booking which he considers unsuitable.
- The villa owner will not accept any responsibility for any injury, sickness, loss, damage, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by or arising from the use of the villa, plumbing, gas, electrical or otherwise, or weather conditions or other natural events. The villa owner will not accept any responsibility for any missed travel connections, however caused, nor is any responsibility accepted for any loss of or damage to the personal property of the renter or any member of the party, however caused.
- Villa Ambra has five air-conditioned double bedrooms, four with king-sized beds, and the fifth with a queen-sized. Each has an ensuite bathroom with bathtub as well as shower. All five bedrooms have ocean and river estuary views.
- Villa Ambra has 16 wonderful staff, with 365/24 attendance, including a Villa Manager, Head and Under-Butlers, Cooks, Helpers, Engineers etc.
- The main infinity pool measures 20 x 5 metres for a total of 100 square metres. The smaller pool of 21 square metres, and with a maximum depth of 60 centimetres, is great for children but also fun for adults to splash around in. At the end of the main pool, very near the beachfront, is a jacuzzi which is designed for the enjoyment of up to eight adults.
- Use of the villa owner's two personal 7-seater MPVs and drivers for up to 8 continuous hours six days a week each, free of charge except for fuel. These vehicles provide comfort and convenience with their electric sliding doors. Additional hours and/or vehicles can be arranged at pre-agreed cost.
- Spa, excellent practitioners can be brought in at cost to provide a full range of services at a fraction of what would be charged in a 5-star hotel.
- High-speed fibre wifi.
- Private cinema (196″ screen) with large selection of DVDs.
- Library well stocked with books, games, and jigsaw puzzles, and an iMac with printer.
- Mountain bikes, kites, and fishing rods.
- Reasonable laundry requirements are handled free of charge. Fine items and dry cleaning are sent out and charged at cost.
- Food and beverages are charged at cost, with the addition of a 15% handling fee.
- Tennis court and gym, shared with the other four villas on the estate, which may be used free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Airport transfers are free of charge within the use parameters of the villa’s vehicle as mentioned above. Please let us know whether a luggage van is required (at cost) in addition. It is essential that we be advised of flight numbers and of any changes that arise.
Subject to availability (occasionally the airport restricts this service) we can have you met before immigration and fast-tracked, your luggage collected, and accompanied to the car, at a cost of 350,000 rupiah per head. Indonesia offers FOC Visa on Arrival for most nationalities. Please check whether you qualify, and if not, have the necessary funds ready.

Wow. Thank you so much for the trip of a lifetime. We saw many villas during our trip, and all concluded that Villa Ambra is by far the best and most beautiful. Between surfing and rafting and meeting elephants I had the best week ever. The food was also the most incredible experience in itself. I’ve never had anything as delicious as the home-made peanut sauce. I truly hope one day I will return again.

Our stay at Villa Ambra could not have been better 10/10 and above for everything! Location, villa design, views, food, service, friendly and super accommodating staff, just EVERYTHING. We have travelled quite a bit and nothing beats Villa Ambra – honestly! The staff are amazing – ALL of them, from manager to butlers, chefs, gardeners, our driver, kitchen staff, room cleaners – everyone. All fantastic. The food should be Michelin star rated – its that good. The BBQ down by the beach was a beautiful night and experience – loved it.The delicious highly canapés at sunset are a great touch.
